Refinement of the journal of orthopedics and allied sciences

Orthopedic practices are largely directed by the evidence-based research conducted and published in any reputed journal across the world. Most of the guidelines and evidences are coming from the journal published in Western countries. The researches done in our country do not always get a place in international journals despite having authentic and valid teaching point.

In the current clinical scenario, most of the clinical knowledge and updates are exchanged through the continuing education and workshops. Nonetheless, this is perhaps due to the lack of scientific content and most of the specialty journals are out of reach of clinicians. Ironically, the readership of such journals is restricted to within the teaching institute.

There is an urgent need of a platform where our own researches get placed, published, and hence contribute to the literature. The readership and the community will be benefited from the same. Keeping these points into consideration, we are reshaping our Journal of Orthopedics and Allied Sciences to The Journal of Orthopedics and Spine. The current scope of journal is to publish the subspecialty-related original researches.

The journal of orthopedics and spine will publish original researches related to not only spine but also the different subspecialties of orthopedics, including arthroplasty, arthroscopy, sports medicine, trauma, pediatric orthopedics, adult reconstruction procedures, hand surgery, cartilage regeneration medicine, and orthopedic oncology.

We request the health-care professionals and scientists to welcome the change as part of an unstoppable revolution in information sharing and help us make our journal a craft of knowledge.
